AXIS IDEA presents URBii concept at Engage Expo

URBii's an innovation brought to New York all the way from Brazil by Stella Villares and Dino Vettorello, founders of AXIS IDEA.

It's an interactive service that blends traditional web browsing with immersive 3D environments, allowing websites to become part of a shared meta-universe, where users can meet, chat, and acquire goods while collaborating to shape the world around them.

When a user navigates to a URL, URBii re-maps the site into a virtual cityscape, complete with sidewalks, storefronts, and active shoppers. Anyone with a website can register for a property, or even a branded street, within the URBii world, where they are able to sell goods and provide services.

URBii brings a creative solution to the traditional challenge of monetizing 3D environments. E-commerce sites benefit from the platform's interconnectivity, strategically placing their stores in the right "neighborhoods" and taking advantage of one another's audiences. "It really brings a new dimension to the web," said Dino Vettorello, Chief Creative Officer of AXIS IDEA. "Every website is now part of a new global city, generating a community-based economy that everyone can take part in."

The URBii business model is expected to create unique opportunities for advertising, brand immersion, and e-commerce, benefiting consumers and retailers alike.

AXIS IDEA was created in 2008, with an eye toward bringing the Web 2.0 revolution to Brazil. Stella and Dino have already released a string of successful products below the equator, and hope to carry their success in the U.S. market.

URBii is developed in collaboration with Hoplon Infotainment, producers of TAIKODOM, the largest online game in Brazil.
